The Culture of Honor is a book of reformation. It is intended to disrupt our current model of authority. Jesus put it like this in Matthew 20:25-26: "But Jesus called them to Himself and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. Those with power must learn to empower those around them or we will never build Heaven on the Earth."

Great teaching on honor
Dany Silk has a very refreshing way of telling it as it is. Yet the best part is that there is hope. I really was encouraged to hear the way he empowers his own children with trust and owning responsibility for their actions.

A must if you want to see heaven brought to earth.
A fantastic book explaining what must happen in the hearts of man, church leadership, and in today's churches so that they are in proper alignment with God so that heaven can be brought to earth.

Danny Silk is such a great teacher. This book is a must read for anyone wanting to grow in community and in personal relationships.

Life changing book!
Cultivating a culture of honor and even defining what that looks like has been a question in my heart for several months now. I was directed to this book after some circumstances that could have led to enormous offense with some of my brothers and sisters. God really spoke to me through this book as I was working through and processing what happened. It kept me from offense and sped of my process of repentance and searching for what the Lord would have wanted me to honor them with!
This book partners well with the other books by Danny Silk, and builds off of solid, biblical teaching. He looks at scripture differently and teaches differently than any other pastor I've experienced. While meaty, the contract is accessible and easy to sit with and understand. Thank you so much for writing this book!

If the church gets a hold of this concept it'll
If the church gets a hold of this concept it'll change the world.
This book has a lot of meat and if your looking for you or your church to learn more about how Jesus came to set up the church, this is the book for you!
It takes the concept of the New Testament and applies it to our church of today and the way Jesus came to set up the church. Very good content.
Some chapters were a little choppy to listen to and understand easily.
The reader read it really fast so I had you slow it down in the audible app to be able to follow.
The reader also doesn't add any emphasise to the story. He reads everything the same.
I'm studying this book in a Bible study at church, and the audible version is a blessing because of time restraints sitting down to read. But, if you have the time to sit down and read the book, I think you'll get more out of it. Listen to the sample on audible and see what you think. This is just my personal opinion.
I'm glad I bought the audible version but I think reading the book is better based on the guy reader. I spent a lot of time rewinding to relisten to something over and over to grasp the concept.
But if you don't have time to sit down and read it this isn't still a great option. I'm still thankful for audible or else I would never have time to read the books I like to read.

A must listen for all believers
Listen with a soft heart. Consult with Holy Spirit and the scripture. Excellent for addressing church hurt, church growth and how to do church and conflict as a spirit filled believer who wants heaven on earth.

Revolutionary perspective on doing life
The reader is good and has a good rythim while reading. it keeps the audiobook interesting and has a dynamic voice. The contents of the audiobook are super challenging and eye-opening. it really changed my perspective of how Church can be done and also on how to handle sin in my life and in others in such a way to always bring forgiveness and restoration to the person's identity. I can really recommend this audiobook!
