自分が、いつも焦りながらわが⼦の保育園や学校の準備をしていた記憶がまだまだ鮮明に残っているので、愉快なクロッポーが起きる時間、出かける時間、⼦供の帰宅時間を教えてくれ、家族の談笑を⾒舞ってくれていれば、慌ただしい毎日はもっと楽しかったことでしょう！
Reading Cloppo sent me straight back to the days when my own children were small; always in ahurry to get them to daycare or school on time, or trying to make sure they got to bed earlyenough. How much more fun it would have been with a charming cuckoo clock on my side, not justkeeping time, but keeping a watchful eye on the day and enjoying family life with us.

幼児期の間に基本的生活習慣をしっかりと⾝に付けておくことは、その後の⼼⾝の発達にとってとても重要です。この基本的生活習慣には「睡眠」「食事」「排泄」「清潔」「衣類の着脱」が含まれています。しかし、最近、とくに決まった時間に寝て起きるという「睡眠」の習慣を守ることは、むずかしくなってきています。寝る時間になったら絵本を読んでもらえる時間・お話をきかせてもらえる時間というような、楽しい合図があるとよいですね。
