Description
Take your speaking, listening, and comprehension to the next level. You will master 200 of the most useful phrases that are beyond the basics you learn in basic Spanish classes.
Often what we learn in class isn’t very useful in practicable speech, so we’ve compiled a list of 200 of the most widely used common expressions and phrases that will supercharge your Spanish speaking ability, as well as your vocabulary and comprehension.
This book will provide you with an amazing supply of simple, incredibly useful Spanish phrases (most of which you probably haven’t mastered yet), to help take your conversation skills to the next level.
This book also contains numerous idioms and colloquialisms which you will find both insightful and useful. Hispanic culture is incredibly colorful and each region has numerous local sayings and idioms, so we’ll only focus on really common ones that seem to be pretty universal across all Spanish speaking countries.
You will learn:
- The English and Spanish version of the idiom/phrase
- The explanation of how to use this idiom or phrase in common speech and when is an appropriate time to use it
- Examples of casual dialogue in both Spanish and English to show you the context of how this phrase is used
- You can practice repeating each phrase to help commit it to memory and work through the pronunciation

Some good basics but incorrect pronunciation
I'm at level B2-C1 in Spanish. This book was more basic than what I was expecting. Nonetheless I did learn a few new phrases. I was somewhat shocked by the pronunciation mistakes, which were somewhat frequent. I believe I picked up a gramatical mistake here and there as well. Learners beware! However, if you make a study challenging for yourself by identifying all the mistakes, perhaps you'll advance your skills.

lots of errors, not for advanced learners
with 200 expressions and idioms i thought i could learn something new but there was only a handful of new ones which I think are mostly only used in spain. there is a lot lf repetition and for an advanced learner it was painfully slow so I listed on 1.9 speed and entertained myself by writing down all the errors, most od which have to do with gender, imperativr tense, and pronounciation. this author is clearly intermediate and doesnt know how to put proper stress on proper vowels, no to pronounce u: she says "sigwe" when trying to say sigue etc etc. but the most glaring are the errors, although few, in gender (using la instead of el/lo etc) and verb conjugation: instead of "no vayas" she says "no ve" and instead of "dale" she says "darle". i commend her for writing a book about spanish when she is intermediate level and didnt bother to hire a proofreader. if you want a book that is truly for advanced learners search for megusta spanish and/or Mari Marina books

Great
Very effective for beginners I'm sure but I was looking for something a little more advanced and it wasn't made all that clear that it was a beginner orientated product.

Spanish words aren’t always pronounced correctly
Brushing up on my Spanish speaking after years of not. My parents are Cuban. The collection of phrases is great! Just surprised that a few words are pronounced phonetically and not with the proper accents.

Get it only if you speak good Spanish and want to be entertained
Where do I start? She makes so many pronunciation mistakes in Spanish that the narration makes you laugh. It is actually not funny. If you are a beginner or intermediate Spanish learner, this audio book could actually screw you up. She does not even understand the concept of subjunctive and gives you wrong sentences. She could have checked with Google translate first on some of the examples. It almost seems like an attempt to make a few bucks.

Excellent intro to Spanish!
I have just started a formal course in Spanish and bought this audiobook to help me start speaking a little quicker. I was able to learn most of the basics for travel in a couple of hours over one day while driving to and from work. Looking forward to sharing my new words and sentences with my Spanish teacher this week!

Brilliant
This is really well done. I went from knowing just a few words to being able to construct simple sentences in one afternoon. Logically organized to where you start figuring out the next application of the word moments before it is asked.
