Histoire
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Histoire
Every weekend, in basements and car parks across the country, young men with good white-collar jobs and absent fathers take off their shoes and shirts and fight each other barehanded. Then they go back to those jobs with blackened eyes and loosened teeth and the sense that they can handle anything. Fight Club is the invention of Tyler Durden, projectionist, waiter and dark, anarchic genius. And it's only the beginning of his plans for revenge on the world.

Histoire
This much-loved classic gets a fresh and youthful approach from narrator Shelby Lewis. Alice tumbles down a rabbit hole in pursuit of the White Rabbit and finds herself in topsy-turvy Wonderland. Lewis gives Alice the right balance of curiosity and spirit as she encounters various strange creatures, experiences extreme changes in size, joins a mad tea party, and faces off with the Queen of Hearts. Lewis uses extravagant tones and variations in pitch and accent to flesh out the characters' eccentricities, and listeners will definitely revel in her vivacious performance.
Description
When Alice tumbles down, down, down a rabbit-hole one hot summer's afternoon in pursuit of a White Rabbit, she finds herself in Wonderland. And there begins the fantastical adventures that will see her experiencing extraordinary changes in size, swimming in a pool of her own tears, and attending the very maddest of tea parties. For Wonderland is no ordinary place and the characters that populate it are quite unlike anybody young Alice has ever met before.
In this imaginary land she encounters the savagely violent Queen, the Lachrymose Mock Turtle, the laconic Cheshire Cat and the hookah-smoking Caterpillar, each as surprising and outlandish as the next. Alice's adventures have made her the stuff of legend, the child heroine par excellence, and ensured that Carroll's book is the best loved and most widely read in children's literature.

Best!!
As an English learner, this is one of the best audiobooks that I’ve ever listened to.
I don’t understand why some other people are complaining about this audiobook, particularly being narrated by an American when they must’ve tried the sample.

American narrator all wrong for this book
The narrator is a great reader but Alice is a quintessentially English story, and the American narrator just doesn't work. I found it very jarring to hear all the unmistakably English characters speaking in American accents. I soon turned it off altogether.

Just couldn’t get into it
By the time I started getting into the meat of it I was completely disinterested, narrator was fine and was colorful enough but the story just dragged and dragged. Possibly I’m too old for a first read.

A great classic
What is there to say about this classic of literature? If you have read it, then you might want to refresh your memory and listen to it, and if you don't know Alice, then it is high time for you to make her acquaintance. This is my favorite children's book, and it is a book for adults who have not forgotten what it is like to be a child, for adults who have remained children and who are not ashamed of it. It is never too late to have a nice childhood! Read this book!
