Description
Space is the last thing an event planner and an astronaut need in this charming new romantic comedy from New York Times best-selling author Samantha Young.
When event planner Hallie Goodman receives party-inspiration material from the bride of her latest wedding project, the last thing she expects to find is a collection of digital videos from Darcy’s ex-boyfriend. Hallie knows it’s wrong to keep watching these personal videos, but this guy is cute, funny, and an astronaut on the International Space Station to boot. She’s only human. And it’s not long until she starts sending e-mails and video diaries to his discontinued NASA address. Since they’re bouncing back, there’s no way anyone will ever be able to see them...right?
Christopher Ortiz is readjusting to life on earth and being constantly in the shadow of his deceased older brother. When a friend from NASA’s IT department forwards him the e-mails and video messages Hallie has sent, he can’t help but notice how much her sense of humor and pink hair make his heart race.
Separated by screens, Hallie and Chris are falling in love with each other, one transmission at a time. But can they make their star-crossed romance work when they each learn the other’s baggage?

RELATABLE
It's probably one of the most entertaining books I have listened to in the last couple of years. I'm glad I purchased the book.

Not My Fav
I am a huge fan of Samantha Young and will read everything she puts out. I was so excited for this one and to see where the story would go.
Sadly, I am DNF it though. I just cannot get into it at all. It started off a little too slow and I just never found myself excited to finish the story.

A Cosmic Kind of Love
I didn’t really know what I was getting into with this one, but it was kinda perfect. I love that they didn’t end up meeting until a bit later but when they do it's so very honest.
That is what makes a Samantha Young book so her. It's never the same story. You are always surprised or at least I am.
I really liked Hallie and her outlook on life. Will it probably beat her down in time? Most likely, but you live, and you learn and the way she is, well she wouldn’t be Hallie if she didn’t.
Chris is kinda awesome, the way he came in did I want to shake him because she was so honest and he well wasn’t, yes, yes, I did. But I got over it because the way he gets to know Hallie is exactly right. He doesn’t want to change her; he just wants to be near her.
My heart is just happier listening to this book.
I wasn’t expecting Andi as the narrator because I don’t believe she has ever done a Samantha Young book and though I wasn’t looking forward to her, it worked. But Noah stole the show for me. Great audiobook!

Super annoying
This was tiresome. It's a DNF for me. The male narrator was super breathy and really hard to listen to, also.

Ok // Lead was hard to stomach
I hate to be harsh but this book was a let down! The main character, Hallie, was a weak character who let others push her around. Her character development towards the end of the book was good, but too much of the book showed her getting trashed on by others.
The astronaut aspect was intriguing to me when I pre-ordered the book but it ended up being only a small part of the actual plot.
Overall it was good but not captivating. It ended well and the romance was cute.

DNF - Should be Fiction, not Romance
I have read a few books by this author, my favorite being "Much Ado About You." While she deals with real issues, struggles and suffering as content in most of her other romances, this book seemed to really be only about conflict. After getting about 30% into the book, I couldn't read on. It's very slow moving, boring, and focuses more on being taken advantage of by family and not having clear and healthy boundaries with loved ones than any semblance of a romance. Both characters seemed to be wandering push overs and I didn't see the need to invest more time into the characters or the plot.
Audible should have classified this book as fiction and not rom com.
