    Description

You don't have to be a computer scientist to get involved in the discussion about where artificial intelligence and technology are going.

What will the year 2084 hold for you - for your friends, for your family, and for our society? Are we doomed to the grim dystopia imagined in George Orwell's 1984?

In 2084, scientist and philosopher John Lennox will introduce you to a kaleidoscope of ideas: the key developments in technological enhancement, bioengineering, and, in particular, artificial intelligence. You will discover the current capacity of AI, its advantages and disadvantages, the facts and the fiction, as well as potential future implications.

The questions posed by AI are open to all of us. And they demand answers. A work that is made to challenge all listeners, no matter your worldview, 2084 shows how the Christian worldview, properly understood, can provide evidence-based, credible answers that will bring you real hope for the future of humanity.

    Great book

Loved this book. It is very informative and interesting. It is a very Christian point of view, but it would be interesting to all who question where we are headed as a people in regards to AI.

    Lennox + Brierley = Perfection

Justin Brierely is the perfect narrator for John Lennox. The only narrator who competes with him is Lennox himself, reading his own work. There are other narrators of Lennox here in Audible, who frankly impair Lennox. Too monotone, and therefore hard to track in pithy Lennox material. Brierley (and Lennox) rock!

Clarity of thought and tempered narrative

Informative assessments that ground the modern penchant for mixing scientific projections with a touch of fiction.

    Cheap stuff

Misleading title. This is a cheap, poorly written religious proselytism. Shame on the Editor. Cheating with 2084.

    Poor Narration

Justin Brierley may be an excellent choice as narrator for British listeners, but as an American listener I find him intolerable. He completely ruins the information for me and leaves me no choice but to return the book and order a print version. Someone ought to know better than to subject listeners to a British narrator whose accent has all the charm of a rusty wheel, in my opinion.

    another stellar work from Lennox!

Lennox continues to challenge me to think more deeply about current issues in light of biblical truth.
also if, like me, you are at all hesitant about things eschatological- this is a great foray into the topic

    Lennox at his best!

Very succinct sober take in where we currently find ourselves in this brave new world. Not only beautifuly simplifies the eschatology but also explains why it is relevant to all Christians today. Love this a must read for every Christian and anyone else who would like to know what the hell is going on in 2020!

Interesting to see a biblical perspective

Most books rely solely on science and technology when predicting the future of the human body. Refreshing to see a book that includes the biblical role and how it may play out.

    Too Pessimistic !!!

Does AI (Artificial Intelligence) have access to the 'Akashic Chronicle' ???

    I don't think so !!!
