The Godseeker Duet

Looking for Dei Description

Fifteen-year-old Nara Dall has never been good at keeping secrets—which is unfortunate, because her life is built on them.

There is the ugly scar across her back. The strange powers she cannot explain. And the mysterious adoptive father who refuses to tell her anything about where she came from.

Now Nara and her best friend, Mykel, must face the announcement ceremony, where every young person is tested for a magical gift from Dei.

No gifted youth has been announced in the poor village of Dimmitt for decades.

Nara is about to discover why.

When she uncovers the truth and uses her hidden abilities to make things right, one dangerous decision changes everything. Nara and Mykel are thrust onto a path of discovery, betrayal, and deadly consequences as long-buried secrets begin to surface.

To survive, Nara must learn the truth about her origins, understand the power growing inside her, and decide how much she is willing to sacrifice for the people she loves.

Because the greatest power may not belong to the strongest among them.

It may belong to the broken.

Performed by Tanya Eby, Looking for Dei is the first book in the Godseeker Duet—a character-driven young adult fantasy filled with an intriguing magic system, complex friendships, dangerous prophecy, unexpected twists, and a search for the divine.

Nara's journey continues in Finding Kai, Book Two of the Godseeker Duet, also available in audio.
