This Zac King supernatural thriller underscores the current strife of American Indians who defend their sacred rights against corporate greed and corruption of Big Oil. Imagine a world where all Native Americans stood together as one tribe, with one voice. There are insidious reasons the Indian Nations are kept silent and the government has intentionally fractured tribal communities. Big Oil desecrates sacred Indian burial grounds for drilling and fracking, willing to disturb the dead to get it, until now.

The Pacific Ocean has vanished from the coast. Los Angeles is burning. And an outlaw army of bikers is marching through the ruins. Zac King just wanted to be left alone. A philosophical, Pabst-drinking former journalist turned handyman, he spends his days fixing boats and his nights visiting Charles Bukowski’s grave. But when a catastrophic event causes the Pacific Ocean to drain away at a terrifying speed, Zac is forced to flee a collapsing Los Angeles.

In the first installment of the Midnight Rider Trilogy, Zac King is a moto-journalist writing a story about the eight million Americans who work the graveyard shift. It is a tale of night shifters and graveyard tanker yankers traversing the dark tarmac at witching hour. On a mission, the longer Zac rode the deeper and darker the story became. What was this bloody trail of buried bones called the Corridor of Death? Who is abducting 2000 people a day, half a million people in the U.S. yearly and what are the motives? These questions, and many more, he never knew existed now haunt his dreams.
