The Pacific Ocean has vanished from the coast. Los Angeles is burning. And an outlaw army of bikers is marching through the ruins.
Zac King just wanted to be left alone. A philosophical, Pabst-drinking former journalist turned handyman, he spends his days fixing boats and his nights visiting Charles Bukowski’s grave. But when a catastrophic event causes the Pacific Ocean to drain away at a terrifying speed, Zac is forced to flee a collapsing Los Angeles.
Trapped at an isolated observatory, he finds himself caught in a powder keg between an anxious, heavily armed military blockade and hundreds of volatile outlaw bikers looking for a fight.
Unarmed and carrying nothing but his own sardonic wit, Zac is thrust into the role of peacekeeper. The stakes couldn't be higher: if he fails to talk down the rival factions, a brutal mountain slaughter will erupt, his beloved marina community below will be left to rot, and he’ll find himself entirely alone in a ruined world.
"Neptune's Net" is a gripping, atmospheric suspense thriller that proves sometimes the most reluctant heroes make the best leaders. Packed with high-octane motorcycle action, dark humor, and an unforgettable cast of characters, it’s a story about protecting the ones you love when everything else washes away.
