  • Devotional: On And Off The Field
    Oct 13 2026

Acts 4:13 (NIV)“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.”In baseball, there's a saying: How you conduct yourself on the field should be the same as how you conduct yourself off the field. On the field, we expect players to give their best effort, respect their teammates, listen to their managers, and respect the umpires—even when they disagree with a call. But that character shouldn't disappear when they leave the field. How they treat others when the game is over matters just as much as how they play during the game. The same is true of our walk with Jesus. In Acts 4:13, Peter and John stood before the Jewish religious leaders after healing a man who couldn't walk. The leaders were astonished because Peter and John were ordinary, uneducated men, yet they spoke with boldness and courage. And the leaders recognized something important: these men had been with Jesus.Peter and John had spent years learning from Jesus, watching how He loved people, served others, and stood firm in the truth. Even after Jesus ascended into heaven, His influence was evident in how they lived and spoke. They didn't take off their faith when they left His presence. Their lives reflected the time they had spent with Him.And that's our challenge today. It's easy to talk about Jesus at church, worship with other believers, and share our faith when things are going well. But what happens when a coworker frustrates us, someone treats us unfairly, or we don't get our way? Do we still show patience, humility, integrity, and respect?Following Jesus isn't just about what we say we believe. It's about how we live when nobody's watching. That doesn't mean we'll be perfect. Just like a baseball player will strike out sometimes, we'll make mistakes. What matters is how we respond—with humility, a willingness to make things right, and a heart that continues to grow. So, here's something to think about: If people watched how you conducted yourself at work, at home, and in public, would they recognize that you've been with Jesus?Your faith isn't just how you play on Sunday. It's how you live every day. Let the way you conduct yourself on and off the field show the world that you've been with Jesus.#OnAndOffTheField #Acts413 #DoesYourLifeReflectJesus #WalkAndTalkFaith #GodIsOnTheAirGod is ON AIR and so are we!~~~~For business purposes, please email us at walkandtalkfaith@gmail.com~~~~Music CreditSong: SeasonsArtist: TelecastedYouTube Audio Library

  • Devotional: What's In Your Bag?
    Oct 6 2026

1 John 3:19 NIVThis is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence. When I think about purses, bags, backpacks, or wallets, I think about what is inside them that we MUST carry, we must protect, and we MUST have with us at all times:IdentificationPhoneWallet (credit/debit cards, money, receipts, access cards)KeysSunglasses/sun blockWaterMints/gumHand sanitizerMakeupHair tiesEar budsIn essence, we carry what is potentially our persona. Everything in our belongings says so much about us, but more importantly, it gives value to each piece. It is a very big part of us, and without them, we likely would be dysfunctional. Parallel to this, each piece is important, especially when we align with God. We see how He gives us provisions to function:Identification: I am a child of GodPhone = Bible: has everything I need. Every verse has application in our livesWallet - God has a personalized "wallet" we can access to directly connect with Him, and all that He's equipped us with to go out into the world, make disciples, and be good Christian citizens. He provides our finances. He is the "healthcare" we need, and He is the help we call when we're stuck on life's highways.Keys = prayer. This is the direct line, direct access, the START we need every day.Sunglasses/sun block = Similar to the helmet of salvation. We have a protective covering over our heads, and knowing the truth of God's Word protects our eyes from the world.Water = Living Water: JesusMints/gum = Holy Spirit: refreshes and quenches our thirstHand sanitizer = The Holy Trinity. We can reach for them at a moment's notice for protectionMakeup = The Bible (or Bible app on our phone): for quick touch-ups when neededHair ties - Binding the enemy and any demonic attacks in Jesus' Mighty NameEarbuds - When we need to tune out the noise of the World and focus on God, focus on the breath of life He gives usThese are the belongings in my purse. And I belong to God, so He provides me with the Armor of God. • Devotional: Rest In The Unknown
    Sep 29 2026

    By Annie

    Exodus 33:14

The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

Today, this spoke to me. I am starting a new job, and I am moving into a new place. Both of these, separately and collectively, give me anxiety.

I am leaving a job of comfort and routine. This was a place where everybody knew my name. This is the job where I hit the ground running as soon as I arrived there. It is the job I was able to mold into my own. So, naturally, leaving is a bit scary. I was alone a lot, especially on Fridays, but that doesn't mean I lacked in workload. I was busy. But now I'm starting a brand new work-from-home job next week. I am excited and anxious at the same time.

Then there's the new house, the new place I am moving into in October. I am more nervous about this because I'll be moving alone. I am excited to have the entire house to myself. In years past, I've always moved with someone: my daughter, my other daughter and her husband, and my mother. This is the first time in decades that I will have my entire place to myself.

For years, I asked God to bless my finances so that I could afford a place of my own. During those years, God wasn't silent or ignoring my prayers; He was slowly grooming me to steward the small He gave me so I could handle the big He gives me. It was a test of obedience, faith, and patience. All of these qualities, characteristics, and faithfulness were what God was shaping in the background during the silence.

The same God who made the promise to be with the Israelites in the book of Exodus is the same God who will be with me through this new season of life. I am excited to embark on this journey and see the path where God leads me. I pray that His will be done and that I can be used as His vessel to shine in a dark world.

Just as Jabez cried out to God, I pray the same prayer from I Chronicles 4:9: “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me."
