  • From Dream to Reality - Season 2, Episode 8
    Apr 30 2026

As Fair Housing Month 2026 comes to an end, let us be reminded ourselves of something deeply important: fair housing is not confined to one month out of the year. It is a commitment we must uphold every single day.

Advocating for, promoting, protecting and supporting fair housing is what we Realtist and REALTORS do consistently—often without even thinking about it. It is woven into the very fabric of the profession. Organizations like the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) remain steadfast in its mission of “Democracy in Housing,” working tirelessly to ensure that the dream of homeownership is accessible to all, and turns from a dream into a reality for any and everyone who desires to become a home owner.

In honor of this, the TRUST, Then Know…The Jackie Boyd Podcast is re-releasing a powerful and timely episode—Season 2, Episode 7 - What’s In The House. In this episode, we had the incredible opportunity to interview both the National President of NAREB, Mr. Ashley Thomas III and Jacksonville’s local board president Mr. Orlando J. Spencer, highlighting not just Fair Housing Month, but the ongoing, everyday fight for fair housing.

This re-release is intentional. It is a reminder. It is a call to remain aware, engaged, and committed to the work.

If you understand—even in the slightest—why fair housing matters, this is an episode you do not want to miss.

  • What's In The House - Season 2, Episode 7
    Apr 14 2026

What’s in the House…It’s More Than a Transaction

Just prior to the start of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers Realtist Week 2026, I had the absolute honor and privilege of sitting down with the National President of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), Mr. Ashley Thomas III, alongside Jacksonville's local leader, the President of the First Coast Association of Realtist (FCAR), Mr. Orlando Spencer.

Let me just say… this conversation is powerful, purposeful, and full of insight.

“What’s in the House” is more than a question—it’s a movement. It’s about understanding that real estate is not just a transaction… it’s transformation. It’s legacy. It’s access. It’s opportunity.

President Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to sustainable and affordable homeownership for all. Through his leadership, you will hear how advocacy, accessibility, and affordability are not just words—they are action steps being implemented across the country to close the gap and create real change.

What made this conversation even more impactful is how those national initiatives are not just staying at the top...they are intentionally flowing down to the local level. President Spencer shares, in a very real and tangible way, how FCAR is benefiting from NAREB’s vision, programming, and direction, and how that impact is being felt right here in Jacksonville.

And listen… it wasn’t just informative—it was fun, engaging, and full of authentic moments that remind us why we do what we do.

If you are in real estate, thinking about homeownership, or simply care about the future of housing in our communities, this is an episode you do not want to miss.

Because what’s in the house…is so much more than a transaction.

  • Season 2, Episode 4 - Beauty, Confidence and Healing: It's More Than Hair
    Mar 10 2026

"Beauty, Confidence, and Healing: It’s More Than Hair" perfectly describes Cynthia Meadow's gifts and passion and her salon: Abliss Upscale Styling Studio, one of Jacksonville’s most sought-after hair studios.

Owner Cynthia Meadows is far more than a savvy business owner. She is a transformation specialist and beauty expert whose journey began at just 14 years old, doing hair in her mother’s kitchen. “I was braiding all the neighborhood girls’ hair and wanted to be the best braider in the world,” she recalls. But for Cynthia, it was always about more than hair.

Her passion started even earlier. At just five years old, she found joy in reshaping and styling the hair on her baby dolls, fascinated by the creativity and transformation it allowed. Today, the gifted hands her mother prayed over while Cynthia was still in the womb now transform hundreds of heads locally and nationally. Yet her true gift goes beyond styling hair. Cynthia has a rare ability to improve, impart, inspire, and encourage—helping women build confidence by nurturing their inner beauty. She believes that when someone sits in her chair, she can shift their energy and transform their personal atmosphere.

Cynthia’s accomplishments are impressive. She is a celebrity stylist, the official stylist for the Jacksonville Roar, a former beauty editor for Sheen Magazine, and has been featured in more than 50 national publications while gracing the covers of two magazines. Still, her greatest joy and proudest role is guiding, loving, and nurturing her daughter, Brooklyn.

This episode is fire for mothers, business owners, and aspiring stylists alike. Cynthia shares powerful wisdom, personal insight, and practical business gems throughout the conversation. This is definitely one you’ll want in your grab-and-go podcast library.

  • Episode 1 Season 2 - When Compassion Meets Conflict
    Feb 5 2026

    WHEN COMPASSION MEETS CONFLICT

In sports, winners get the glory. No matter how well you play, if you don’t win, you’re often overlooked. But sometimes the real story isn’t found on the scoreboard. We all know a single point can decide a game; one point ahead is victory, one point short is heartbreak, even after a magnificent performance.

That was the reality following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2026 playoff loss, when one reporter chose humanity over routine. Veteran Jacksonville Free Press journalist and host of #LynnandFriends, Lynette Lynn Jones followed her heart in a moment when a coach and a city were carrying the weight of a tough defeat. Instead of leading with questions, she led with compassion.

Her decision sparked criticism and raised an important conversation about the balance between empathy and professional protocol in sports journalism.

In this powerful Season Two premiere of the TRUST, Then Know, The Jackie Boyd Podcast, Lynn Jones takes us inside that emotional press conference moment, when instinct, kindness, and compassion spoke louder than policy. Together, we explore why simple encouragement can feel out of place in competitive spaces and whether there’s room for more humanity in sports.

We also honor Black History Month, as this meaningful conversation was recorded at one of Jacksonville’s most historic institutions, the home of the Jacksonville Free Press.

If you appreciate authenticity, heart, and “keep-it-real” conversations, this episode with Lynn Jones - one of the most genuine and compassionate voices you’ll ever hear - is one you don’t want to miss.
