This happens in homes where the fathers are lawyers, doctors, truckers or business owners and anything in between. The main missing piece is the actual fathering. Teaching, coaching, conversating, spending quality time, showing interest, showing compassion, modelling healthy life practices. Without that and in an environment where the distractions, negative habits and bad influences are rampant – a destructive path and a life fallen by the wayside is rather inevitable.
