The podcast is on a bit of a vacation but I wanted to share some thoughts on the recent trip to Baltimore, NYCC, the update to SWCT, and on the recent release of Star Wars Chrome by Topps.

This was recorded at Philadelphia International airport so sorry for some of the hum. We’ll be back soon after vacation with more guests and some great shows.

A quick stop at a very cool and Comic centric comic con. Baltimore Comic Con brings out plenty of artists, vendors, makers, Indi creators, autograph seekers and, more importantly the COMICS. I had a chance to take a day trip up to the Baltimore Convention Center and hang a bit with Artist Michael Munshaw, Meanwhile ATP host George Hanna and his wife Connie and Eric from Longbox Review. I would saw if you like comics, this is a show to attend! This is a shorter show but I think you get a good flavor of this trip.

Lee Gregory, like many of us, loves our Star Wars figures and would love nothing more than to break them out from time to time and recreate our favorite scenes. Regardless of what side of the Atlantic you call home, you know that Kenner and Palitoy only had the means and time to create a certain number of playsets during that time.

So Lee has gone to work, creating new playsets, using some very similar techniques and design constraints and has produced a number of very amazing and authentic looking settings, from the plastic bases, to cardboard backings and boxes that any collector would love to have as part of their collection.

Lee has been on my bucket list to talk to and it was a great conversation about the toys that never were, but now can be, as well as a little football talk. If you haven’t seen the instagram channel, website, or playsets in person, it’s high time to get your figs out as you listen to this episode of the Rebel Base Card Podcast.
