Powered by an army of student volunteers, the 10th iteration of S.T.E.A.M. - which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Reading, and Math, all wrapped in a genre theme, has opened up to others including Marvel, Harry Potter, Fantasy & Gaming and a lot more as well as STAR WARS.

Along with again doing the show live from the event, I was able to get a number of interviews which give you a flavor of the before and during.

Tom Gross, is the Co-Host of the Teachers in the Dungeon as well as the CWK Pour-Over podcast, but by day he is the Librarian of Washington Community HS, in Washington Illinois and the driving force behind the S.T.E.A.M. events that are held there. Powered by an army of student volunteers, they are coming up on the 10th iteration of this event which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Reading, and Math, all wrapped in a genre theme. Tom returns back to the program to talk about S.T.E.A.M. into the STORYVERSE, which takes place on Saturday, January 10th. Yours truly will once again support the event by doing a podcast live on site and canvasing the area for interviews, but it is always great to sit down with Tom before the day begins.

Hard to believe we’ve gotten to episode 200 of the main Rebel Base Card show but, since March of 2019 it’s been quite a ride. 310 shows in total, between, the Breakfast Pack, Second Breakfast and the main show.

Luke Winchester has hosted stages for MCM Comic Con, EGX and Showmasters, conducting stage and video interviews with renowned actors, puppeteers, game developers, stunt professionals, composers, creators and artists. As he puts it: “I speak to the people who bring the media I love to life.”

Warrior Con is family-friendly and jam packed comic con held at Maine West High School in the Chicago suburban city of Des Plaines which aims to support the Maine West Fine Arts Boosters.

This was the second year for the show, held on Saturday, November 22nd, and featured some National and Chicagoland’s artists and illustrators, headlined by creator/writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson, best known for his work on Superman/Action Comics, Batman and Robin, The Incredible Hulk, Alien, and 007.

I had a chance to talk with a number of the artists, authors and vendors during the event about how they came to the show and about what they had on hand for those in attendance.
