Carl Holmes’ journey took him from the football field at Temple University teammates with our own Joe and Chris Possenti, to the NFL, where he played offensive line for the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys. After his playing days, Carl began a career with the Philadelphia Police Department in 1990, working his way up through the ranks over nearly three decades. Along the way, he earned his law degree while building a career in law enforcement, eventually becoming a Chief Inspector and later serving as the Philadelphia School District’s top school safety official. In this episode, Joe, Chris, Carl and the gang talk about the Temple days. We also get into his time playing football at the highest level, balancing law school with police work, and the experiences that shaped his rise through the department. It’s a conversation about football, ambition, and a career spent navigating two demanding worlds.
