In this episode, we sit down with Delaware County sports historian and author Rich Pagano, a longtime voice in preserving and telling the stories of Delco sports. Rich has spent more than 30 years writing about local sports and is a member of the Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame as a sports promoter. He’s the author of Delaware County Sports Legends , The Baron of Leiperville: The Life and Times of James F. Dougherty, and his newest book continues his work chronicling the people and stories that shaped Delaware County sports. We talk about his passion for Delco sports history, the stories behind some of the area’s most memorable athletes and characters, and what inspired him to keep documenting them. It’s a great conversation about sports, history, and the people who make Delaware County special.
