While we cannot automatically blame parents for their children's actions, these are conversations we need to have.

A minor traffic accident in the St. Louis area took a disturbing turn after 63-year-old retired truck driver Lance Jeffries was brutally beaten following a collision.

Authorities say what began with Jeffries rear-ending another vehicle escalated into a group assault, and four people are now facing criminal charges. Authorities also allege Jeffries was robbed during the incident.

In this episode of The Mike Styles Experience, I talk about how quickly anger can turn a bad situation into something much worse. There's nothing tough about multiple people attacking one man while he's down. At some point, somebody has to have enough sense to say, "That's enough."

We also need to have a conversation about protecting and respecting our elders, controlling our emotions, and understanding that being angry doesn't give us permission to do whatever we want.

A car accident can be handled. Some decisions can't be taken back.
