That’s Not Very Ladylike is the podcast for every woman who was told to be polite, stay calm, or stop being so dramatic, meanwhile her hormones, boundaries, and sanity were quietly falling apart. Hosted by Tracey Willingham, licensed social worker and the voice behind That Hormone Girl™, each episode starts with one rule: Ladies don’t…and then they do it anyway. Together, we unpack the unspoken expectations, the emotional labor, the generational BS, and the hormone chaos modern women are carrying and we get honest about what it actually takes to feel like yourself again. If you’re ready to question the rules, trust your body, and stop shrinking to make everyone else comfortable, you’re in the right place.© 2025 Tracey Willingham, That’s Not Very Ladylike Podcast. • Ladies Don’t Travel Alone. They Just Wait Until Someone Can Go With Them
    Oct 22 2026

This week I’m taking you to Ireland on my first big international trip, and I went by myself. My mantra the whole time was “I am brave. I can do hard things,” and I needed it. There was an ocean between me and home, and being a woman alone lived in the back of my mind the entire trip.

We get into why the first question anyone asks a woman about a trip isn’t “where?” It’s “who are you going with?” And we get into the hardest part: counting how many somedays you’ve spent waiting on someone else, and starting small, with a table for one.

  • Ladies Don't Trust Their Gut. They Just Don't Want to Be Rude.
    Oct 15 2026

This week I’m taking you down a dark road in Ireland, to a black gate with no lights, no host, and a driver named Kenneth who wouldn’t leave me there. My gut had been whispering for all day, and I spent that whole day talking it down. It took a stranger saying it out loud before I let myself believe what my body already knew.

We get into why this rule was never really about manners. It’s about who taught us to protect a stranger’s feelings over our own safety. We get into why your gut is literally louder in perimenopause, and why that’s information, not a malfunction. And we get into the hardest part: catching the argument you start having with your gut before it’s even finished talking, and acting on the first whisper instead of waiting for the scream.

If this one hit home, my free summit, The Missing Pieces of Perimenopause, runs October 26 through 30. Register here: https://missingpiecessummit.com/

  • Ladies Don't Get Loud. They Just Use Their Inside Voice for Everything.
    Oct 9 2026

This week I’m taking you to the woods in County Sligo, where I stood with nine other women and screamed. My first scream was a polite, lady’s scream. By the last round, what came out of me was one loud, clear “no.” My whole life, my voice has been called too much, too loud, too weird, and somewhere along the way I learned to swallow the sound.

We get into why this rule was never really about being quiet. It’s about who gets to decide how much space your voice takes up. We get into how the rule has never been enforced equally. We get into how the same culture that took your volume away now expects you to be heard at the school meeting, with the insurance company, and in the exam room, just quietly enough that you don’t bother anyone. And we get into the hardest part: catching yourself right before you make your voice smaller, and finding one place this week to be loud on purpose.
