À propos de ce contenu audio

In Europe, surrogacy became recently a hot topic, but who knows what it's really about?

This is the story of a French gay dad who tells his child, conceived via surrogacy in the USA, about all the stages up to and beyond the birth.

Why not adoption? Where is it possible in the world? How much does it cost? Who is involved? Where is the "mother"? What papers does the child have? Is it possible to go through a surrogacy process ethically? Can one be feminist and defend surrogacy? ... All these questions are addressed simply, despite the great complexity of these processes.

Episode after episode, discover the stages, the participants, the obstacles and the allies that will make this long journey a true adventure, full of love.

As the story unfolds, listen to the philosophical, societal and political reflections that arise at every step.

This podcast is an authentic and anonymous story, shared with the sincerity of emotions and the nuances of reflections.

New episodes coming in regularly.

Note: this is the English version of the French podcast "Papa GPA". Same author, same content, same structure, just... in English!

It's time to go home! Just like in a Christmas story, the family finally gathers around the tree. But in stories, there are often difficult trials. This story is no exception.

    • Surrogacy Daddy - 11 - The Birth
      Jan 11 2026

It's the long-awaited moment! (And what a long wait it has been!!) Everything converges on this moment lasting just a few hours: the birth. And yet... we prepare so little for it, especially as men. What are the particularities of a birth in a surrogacy process? What about the first separation?

    • Surrogacy Daddy - 10 - Fatherhood
      Dec 10 2025

Clearly, no one knows how to be a dad. And yet, when a male couple becomes parents, they have to figure it out, because there is no woman in the household forced to fill in the gaps. And this is far from easy when the short length of paternity leave keeps them away from the crib...
