Sometimes moving forward requires changing where you stand.

In this episode of Sanctuary Peacemakers, I reflect on a simple change during a Sunday service that gave me a different perspective on leadership, progress, and the safety ministry I’ve helped build.

When we spend so much time focused on what still needs improvement, it can be easy to overlook how far we’ve already come. Sometimes stepping back is exactly what we need to see the road forward more clearly.

What happens to your church safety ministry when the leader isn’t there?

In this episode of Sanctuary Peacemakers, we look at the difference between leading a ministry and creating a ministry that depends on one person. We explore how training, trust, and giving others room to make decisions can prepare a safety ministry to function even when its leader is absent.

Strong leadership isn’t about becoming impossible to replace. It’s about building a ministry strong enough to continue when you’re not there.
