We LOVED this one! Chibiusa’s mysterious connection to the future pulls the Sailor Guardians into her mind, where the ruined Crystal Tokyo, the Black Moon Clan, and her fear for her mother all start coming together in a way that seriously felt like Sailor Moon meets Inception. But the big moment is finally meeting Sailor Pluto, and she instantly made an impression on us. Between the dreamlike trip through Crystal Tokyo, Chibiusa learning to trust Sailor Moon, and all the new questions about the future, this episode made the season feel bigger and more exciting than ever. We’re officially very ready to see where Sailor Pluto and the Crystal Tokyo story take us next.

ABOUT SAILOR MOON’S COSMIC POWER REWIND

Sailor Moon’s Cosmic Power Rewind is our episode-by-episode rewatch of the original Sailor Moon anime, from the first transformation all the way through Sailor Stars, with the movies along the way.

Each week, Matt and Maggie revisit the story, compare the Japanese version with the English dubs, talk about the differences, hunt for references, and revisit all the characters, villains, and magical moments we love. And yes, we have plenty to say about the wonderfully weird DiC dub, too.

We’re a married couple who love 90s and 00s nostalgia, good laughs, and geeking out over the stuff we grew up with. Whether Sailor Moon was part of your childhood or you’re discovering it for the first time, come along for the adventure.

Sailor Moon’s Cosmic Power Rewind is part of Hopefully Awesome, where we keep things positive, have fun, and celebrate the stuff we love.

We’re celebrating the end of Rubeus’ reign and one of our favorite Usagi moments yet! Usagi refuses to give up on her friends, even when Rubeus seems to have every advantage, but watching Sailor Moon and Chibiusa finally work together, with Chibiusa trusting Usagi enough to help bring Rubeus down really makes this episode for us!

About this video: Moon Prism Power, Make Up! Join us as we revisit every episode of the beloved 90s anime Sailor Moon, one week at a time. From the original series to Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, including all the movies, we’re covering it all! Every transformation, attack, and heartfelt moment.

Perfect for Millennials or any Sailor Moon fan, we compare the Japanese version to the DIC dub, explore the anime vs. manga, rank attacks, and hunt for Easter eggs. Hosted by a 90s-loving couple, Sailor Moon Cosmic Power Rewind is a fun, nostalgic podcast filled with laughs and moon magic.

We’re revisiting Sailor Moon R Episode 27 and Chibiusa is testing EVERY ounce of our patience. We really enjoyed this episode, especially as Rubeus makes his desperate move and the Black Moon story starts racing toward its conclusion, but stealing Usagi’s brooch leads to some seriously painful consequences. Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus put everything on the line to protect Chibiusa, only to be abducted by Rubeus and dragged aboard his UFO while Usagi is left completely helpless. And somehow Mamoru nearly earns a spot right beside Chibiusa on our frustration list after basically letting a child escape out a window. We’re talking about the Guardians’ sacrifice, Usagi’s reaction, Chibiusa’s choices, and why this cliffhanger has us VERY ready to see how the Rubeus arc wraps up.
