Revestoke is a small but growing town nestled right along the Trans Canada Highway. Combining these two things means that there are a lot of people coming and going and a large response radius for the local BC Ambulance station.

Today we sit down with Emma and Charlie, two ski patrollers at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Responding to emergencies on ski slopes comes with all kinds of challenges. How do these responders look after patients 1500m above the nearest hospital, often in harsh weather conditions?

Ski patrolling is also essential for risk mitigation on highly trafficked ski resorts. Using weather forecasting and explosives, the mountain slopes are managed to keep tourists safe while hunting for powder turns.
