  • New Day Ep 16 - You're A Masterpiece Under Repair
    Nov 4 2026
Today’s episode is for anyone who has started introducing themselves by their damage instead of their design.

Maybe you look at old photos and think, “Who was that woman? She seemed so free.” Maybe you talk about the best version of you in the past tense, like she moved away and stopped returning your calls.

In this episode, I share what an art restorer taught me about the brilliant blue hiding under years of grime, why self-improvement got confused with self-rejection, and how one word can turn a verdict into a possibility. Because you are not broken, friend. You’re buried. And buried things can be uncovered.

    In This Episode
    • Why so many of us introduce ourselves by our damage instead of our design
    • What “restoration” really means, and the bold assumption built into the word
    • Carl Rogers’ “curious paradox” about accepting yourself so you can change
    • Why “broken” and “ruined” are verdicts, but “covered” and “buried” leave room
    • The glow-up culture that profits when you believe something is wrong with you
    • The difference between a fixer-upper and a masterpiece under repair
    Practical Activation Steps
    • Spend thirty minutes this week with something you loved before life got heavy.
    • Stop asking “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking “What’s been covering the real me?”
    • Swap “I’m a mess” for “I’m a masterpiece under repair.”
    • Swap “That season ruined me” for “That season covered me, but it didn’t cancel me.”
    • Set a timer for sixty seconds and say out loud everything that’s right with you.
    • Practice introducing yourself by your design, not your damage.
    Episode Affirmations
    I am not damaged goods.
I am a masterpiece under restoration.
What was lost is being returned to me.
My joy, my voice, my peace and my purpose are coming back.
The best of me is not behind me.

    Journal Prompt
What has been covering my original design, whose words, which seasons, what habits, and if I were fully restored, what would I do this week that I’m not doing now?

    Favorite Quote from this Episode
    “You’re not a fixer-upper. You’re a masterpiece under repair.”

    This Week’s New Day Challenge
For the next seven days, every time you catch yourself describing your past with words like “broken,” “ruined” or “damaged,” stop and say it again using “covered.” Then ask: “What’s one part of me I’m ready to get back?”

  • New Day Ep 15 - Stop Hitting Snooze on Your Life
    Oct 28 2026
Today’s episode is a wake-up call for anyone who’s been running on autopilot and calling it a life.

We’ve all been there. Hitting snooze one more time, answering “How are you?” with “Busy” before the question is even finished, moving so smoothly through our days that nobody would guess we’ve been asleep at the wheel.

In this first episode of The Language of Change, I share the question that woke me up, why “busy” is often the most comfortable place to hide, and why awakening is the word every other change depends on. Because you can be wide awake at two in the afternoon and still be sound asleep in your own life. Today, we wake up on purpose.

    In This Episode
    • Why you can’t build a new life with old words
    • The two-word question that stopped me in my tracks: “Tired of what?”
    • What the word “awakening” really means, and why it was never just about opening your eyes
    • Why “busy means I’m winning” is one of the most dangerous norms we live by
    • How checking your phone first thing lets the whole world set your mood before you’ve heard your own thoughts
    • Three signs you might be living on autopilot
    • Why a crisis is a terrible alarm clock, and how to choose a gentler one
    • The four things you leave behind when you choose to wake up
    Practical Activation Steps
    • Give the first five minutes of every morning to yourself. No phone, no email, no news.
    • Ask yourself each morning: “What do I want to be awake to today?” Write down your answer, even if it’s one word.
    • Catch one autopilot phrase each day and swap it. Instead of “It is what it is,” say “I’m awake to what it could be.”
    • Write “Wake up on purpose” on a sticky note and put it on your phone.
    • Notice how often you say things that aren’t true just because they’re easy.
    Episode Affirmations
I am awake to my life.
My eyes are open, and I see clearly.
I don’t need a crisis to give me permission to change.
    I choose awareness over autopilot.
    My new day has begun.

    Journal Prompt
Where in my life have I been on autopilot, and if I were fully awake right now, what would I notice first?

Favorite Quote from this Episode “Busy isn’t winning. Awake is winning.”

    This Week’s New Day Challenge
For the next seven days, before you pick up your phone, sit with yourself for five minutes and speak this declaration out loud: “I decree and declare that I am awakening. I will no longer sleepwalk through my life or speak words I don’t believe. My eyes are open, my spirit is alert, and I see clearly who I am and what is possible. I will not sleep through my new season. I am awake, and my new day has begun.”

  • New Day Ep 9 - The storm will pass, trust me
    Jul 20 2026
Today's episode is a heart-to-heart for anyone who's been wondering, "How much longer can I carry this?"

We've all been there, standing in the middle of a storm we thought would last a few days, only to look up months (or years) later wondering if God forgot our address.

In this episode, I share what I've been learning about surviving long seasons, embracing life's pivots, and why gratitude is one of the most powerful strategies we have for making it through.

Because while you're focused on the storm in front of you, God may already be rerouting the one that would've taken you out.

    In This Episode
    • Why some storms last longer than we ever expected—and what they're producing inside us
    • The surprising connection between gratitude and getting out of survival mode
    • How God protects us from storms we'll never even know existed
    • Why the people assigned to your life matter more than the crowd you're wishing for
    • The danger of isolating yourself when you're hurting
    • How comparison quietly steals your gratitude and keeps you stuck
    • Why your private life is where real transformation happens
    • How to stop being available for your problems and start becoming available for your success
    Practical Activation Steps
    • Start a gratitude list with ten things that are true today.
    • Reach out to the one or two people who have consistently shown up for you and simply say, "Thank you."
    • Ask yourself: "Where am I looking outside for answers when God is asking me to look within?"
    • Spend more time creating solutions than rehearsing problems.
    • Choose one small action today that supports the life you're praying for.
    • Speak one truth over yourself every morning before you check your phone.

    Episode Affirmations

My storm is not my destination.
God is preparing the path ahead of me.
Gratitude gives me strength for today and hope for tomorrow.
I have everything I need for my next step.
I am becoming someone stronger than my circumstances.

    Journal Prompt
What blessings have I overlooked because I've been so focused on the storm and how might gratitude change the way I walk through this season?

    Favorite Quote from this Episode
"We've been available to our problems... but we haven't been available to our success."

    This Week's New Day Challenge
For the next seven days, before you tell anyone what's wrong, tell God and yourself three things that are right.

Then ask: "What solution is already sitting in front of me that I've been too discouraged to notice?"
