  • Kristina defeated her daughter’s bipolar disorder with the Carnivore diet S3E2
    Jan 20 2026

Kristina Cook is a wife and mom of two from Nova Scotia, Canada. Her now 12-year old daughter, Genevieve, struggled with ADHD, OCD, & treatment resistant Bipolar Disorder for 6 years, until Kristina started looking outside the conventional medical and mental health systems for answers.

This quest led her to MAHA Moms, RFK Jr., Dr. Casey Means, Dr. Chris Palmer, and ultimately, conversations about health, food, and politics she never expected to find herself talking about until now.

In understanding the reasons why we are all so sick, she was able to put her daughter’s bipolar disorder into remission, and have her off all medications within 6 weeks, turning her entire family’s health and lives around in the process.

The Cook family is living an entirely new life now that Bipolar Disorder no longer controls their home.

Kristina is raising awareness about metabolic therapies, and the power of therapeutic carnivore and ketogenic diets through her organization, The Better Humans Project. She and her family are sharing their story in the hope that other families will embrace the power of real-food nutrition and metabolic therapies for mental illness and chronic disease. Amid today’s health crises, they encourage families to consider making healthier, more nutrient-dense food choices in their own homes.

  • The Truth about the New Food Pyramid | with Patrick Alexander S3E1
    Jan 13 2026

Join us for an in-depth conversation with functional health coach Patrick Alexander, as we dissect the new Food Pyramid and its surprising recommendations. We dive into the contradictions, including the continued 10% saturated fat cap, after a promised removal by RFK, the lack of emphasis on energy sources (we agree it should be fat), the presence of plants at the same level as animal protein, and the notable paucity of guidance on alcohol consumption.

Patrick shares his insights on the implications of the guidelines for any diet, including Carnivore, and what they mean for our health and wellbeing.

  • The Carnivore Gut-Brain Axis for Improved Mental Health S2E70
    Dec 29 2025

Three Carnivore professionals, each with experience in guiding clients through the Carnivore lifestyle, share insights gleaned from personal journeys and professional observations, discuss the diet's positive impact on gut health and its relationship with mental well-being.

The panel is about the gut-brain axis as a key factor, observing that the simpler, cleaner gut microbiome of a well-formulated Carnivore diet leads to reduced inflammation and enhanced mental clarity.

They highlight ketosis as critical for mental clarity and focus, noting reduced inflammation and improved resilience. Ketosis is a cornerstone of the Carnivore diet's efficacy, and has become a therapeutic paradigm for psychological well-being in the wider world.

Ketosis is a metabolic state where the body burns fat for fuel, producing ketones. On a Carnivore diet, this happens when carb intake is very low, and fat/protein from animal foods become primary energy sources.

By relying on fat as the primary energy source, the brain functions with heightened clarity and focus, unencumbered by glucose fluctuations and insulin resistance.

Benefits from ketosis tied to mental health, with profound implications for psychological well-being are:

    - *Stable energy*: Ketones provide consistent fuel for the brain

    - *Reduced inflammation*: Less glucose = less oxidative stress

    - *Gut calm*: Cleaner Carnivore microbiome = less gut-brain stress

  • Healing Her Toddler’s Fatal Genetic Disorder with Diet S2E68
    Dec 13 2025

Jessica Roman shares her daughter's remarkable story. Born with a usually fatal rare genetic mutation that causes the disorder megacystis-microcolon-intestinal hypoperistalsis syndrome (MMSIH), the condition impaired the infant’s ability to pass urine or feces without medical intervention. Her daughter's nutrient absorption, gut health, and ability to thrive were severely impaired.

Doctors fed her a nutritional IV, rich in refined seed oils and sugar that dangerously worsened her daughter’s condition.

Then, Jessica took matters into her own hands. She adopted the No-Plant GAPS Diet, very similar to the Carnivore diet, but with fermented dairy, and saw astonishing results. Her daughter's symptoms vanished, and she's now thriving.

Jessica credits the diet for her daughter's transformation. By addressing her daughter's unique needs, she's overcome the limitations of MMSIH. Today, her daughter lives a healthy life, free from Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstructions among other former symptoms.

Jessica has formed an organization to help other children and their families overcome this life-threatening genetic disorder, and save their lives.
