This is the second sermon of ten in the Built to Last teaching series.

Nobody buys a house for the foundation. You make sure it’s got enough space for your stuff, check out the kitchen, and make sure the closets are big enough. The slab – who cares? Not you, until it’s too late.

Which is exactly why Jesus told the story the way He did. It was about two houses. Both looked great from the outside. Then some water showed up, and one of those houses was gone.

Jesus wasn’t really talking about houses – He was talking about a solid foundation for your life.

If it was important for Jesus to talk about, it’s important for us to talk about too. We’ll dive deeply into 10 things followers of Jesus have been doing since the very beginning. Things like reading the Bible, praying, giving, resting, and letting somebody get close enough to tell you the truth.

It won’t feel like much while you’re doing it – foundation work never does.

But you’re going to need a good one.

Welcome to Built to Last.

See you this Sunday at 10:30am - we’re located at 1001 Hoffner Avenue, Orlando, FL 32809.

This is the eighth of nine sermons in the Come and See teaching series.

A simple invitation changed the course of history. It was just three words.

When the first disciples asked Jesus who He really was, He didn’t preach a long sermon about the historical promises concerning the Messiah.

All He said was, “Come and see.” That’s it. No pressure. Just, come close enough to find out for yourself.

That simple invitation didn’t stop with them. Andrew found his brother. An outcast at a well found her whole town. People were convinced, and all because someone said those same three words to someone they cared about.

We’ll watch this history changing invitation unfold in the Gospel of John. We’ll see Jesus do the impossible while pursuing the people He came to rescue.

Jesus is still doing that today – all over central Florida through people just like you. Not just like you, but through you, if you’ll let Him.

So start praying for someone in particular and be ready to say the words that started it all.

Welcome to Come and See.
