Katrina Sanders, RDH, BSDH, M.Ed, RF—known throughout the profession as the “Dental WINEgenist™”—is a clinical dental hygienist, international speaker, author, educator, sommelier, and entrepreneur dedicated to elevating the dental profession through education, innovation, and empowerment.

She serves as Clinical Liaison for Hygiene Excellence and Innovation at AZPerio, the country’s largest periodontal practice, where she works alongside Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology. She is also the founder and CEO of Sanders Board Preparatory and has been published in numerous industry publications, including RDH Magazine and Today’s RDH.

Through her clinical work, writing, and education, Katrina is passionate about empowering dental professionals to better understand the evolving role of dentistry and patient care. She has been recognized with honors including the University of Minnesota Distinguished Alumni Award and the 2024 Sunstar Award of Distinction.
