À propos de ce contenu audio

Welcome to Confessions of a Hyper Achiever. This is a podcast for women who love achievement and success but don’t want it to be the driving force in their lives any longer. I'm Lisa Drake, a coach who also happens to be a hyper-achiever. I've learned some powerful tools to help me navigate the blessing and curse of being a hyper-achiever. This podcast is an intimate snapshot of my journey and the lessons I’ve learned, as well as lessons from those I've helped along the way. While you’re here, you might discover that some of these stories are your stories too. If that’s the case, know you’re in the right place. • The Gift of a Vulnerability Hangover
      Mar 24 2023

Welcome to the last episode of Confessions of Hyper Achiever Season 1. Today, I share the concept of vulnerability hangover. While I originally had different plans for this podcast, it morphed in unpredictable ways and presented opportunities for growth and expansion I couldn’t have imagined.

Join me as we delve into the importance of trusting yourself, being vulnerable, and giving yourself permission to create new strengths.

    • The Thought Error of Better
      Mar 17 2023

Hyper achievers often strive for improvement. We can use the idea of "better" against ourselves, though, like needing to be better about our eating or saying no more often. This language reinforces the idea that what we're doing isn't enough, and we need to do more to reach an imaginary metric of "enoughness." It can also create an underlying feeling of lack and inadequacy. There’s another perspective available. Tune in and find out.

      Mar 10 2023

I recently took 114 days off from my business. it wasn’t on purpose at first, but that’s how it played out.

In episode 5 I said sometimes we wait until things are really bad before we make a change.

Well, that was me, too.  This is the story of creating deep safety, not through actions and hustle, but through thoughts. I hope you enjoy.
