  • Environment: Make the Swap, Plastic Wrap to Beeswax Wraps.
    Sep 15 2025

Hi friends, I’m Lisa — a certified health coach, blogger at Bringing Back Dinner, and your guide to practical, everyday wellness. Each week on this podcast, I share tips to help you feel empowered on your wellness journey, covering lifestyle, exercise, attitude, nutrition, and environment.

This week, we’re talking about a small but powerful eco-friendly swap: beeswax wraps instead of plastic wrap. Plastic wrap might feel convenient, but it’s not recyclable, may leach chemicals into food, and even contributes to the growing microplastics problem. Beeswax wraps, on the other hand, are reusable, sustainable, and fun to use.

    You’ll hear:

    • Why plastic wrap can harm both our health and the environment

    • Simple ways to start reducing your plastic use

    • How beeswax wraps work — and what you can (and can’t) use them for

    • Where to buy high-quality wraps and how to make your own

    Lifestyle:

Cold and flu season happens — but keeping your home fresh and healthy doesn’t have to be overwhelming. In this episode, I’m sharing simple, practical steps to care for your home during and after illness so you and your family can recover well and feel better faster.

    Highlights from this episode:

    • Fresh air & sunshine – Open windows daily, let the light in, and spend a few minutes outside.
    • During illness – Wipe high-touch surfaces, wash sheets often, swap towels daily, and clean with soap & water or disinfect when needed.

    • After recovery – Wash all bedding, replace or sanitize toothbrushes, clean water bottles & humidifiers, and give handles and switches a deep wipe-down.

    • Immune-boosting habits – Keep fresh air moving, stock up on nourishing foods, and reduce clutter to lower stress.

Takeaway: A few small habits make your home feel refreshed and support your family’s wellness — not just during colds and flu, but year-round.

Thanks for your patience while I cough in places, as I'm still recovering!
