    On this episode, we got the opportunity to sit down with Kevin "The Boot Nurse" Gibson.  We spend time covering a wide variety of subjects from his time as a corpsman, surgical-technician/instructor in the Navy, interning in a burn ICU, to his never ending pursuit to educate others on taking the NCLEX and improving the profession of nursing as a whole.  All leading him to become the YouTube and Instagram sensation that is, "The Boot Nurse."

    On this episode, we sit down with Air Force Lt Col and Flight Nurse, Phi Tran, Co-Founder/President of Fostering Our Youth Inc. (FOY).  Phi has been a nurse in the Air Force for sixteen years, having a wide-variety of clinical experiences ranging from MSU, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, to now Flight Nursing.  Combining her passion for helping others and the desire to better the youth of the world, she co-founded FOY in 2020, with the ultimate goal of providing positive influences and opportunities for all youth in order to build a better tomorrow.

    On this episode, we have our very first Shift Talk.  These will be reoccurring periodic segments with myself and/or friends and collogues within the current shift-work nursing community.  We will discuss the good, the bad, the interesting, the saddening experiences that have occurred during some of our recent shifts.  Today, we will be having a brief discussion on self-care, what that entails, and some of seen/unseen effects of not caring for ourselves as nurses.
