Uncovered Justice takes the listener to the inside of a narcotics investigation unit in Western New York. Undercover operations, search warrants, surveillance, drug buys, corruption… The story reveals the passion and commitment required to build a court-ready drug case and the many avenues a meticulous investigation can take; both the expected and the unexpected.

Through the eyes of the unit’s leader, the listener has a front row seat to the personalities and interactions of each member of the unit, and the stress and excitement of just how dangerous the life of a narcotics investigator is.

With the authenticity earned from a lifetime of real experience, author Leo C. Jones details the conducting of an undercover drug buy, the “ins and outs” of controlling a confidential informant, and the utter betrayal of corruption at the highest levels. He brings the listener inside the anxious countdown moment before the unit crashes through the door of a suspect’s residence into the unknown of who, or what, lies waiting for them on the other side.

Leo C. Jones was Commander of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force in Western New York State and was a Lieutenant in charge of the Narcotics Division.

Uncovered Justice is fiction, but is based on the author’s experience of many years conducting actual undercover operations.
