War, recession and pandemics have forced the government to build secure communities, designed to keep those inside safe. The Towers Projects, home hundreds. Kept away from the rest of the country, their lives and news of the outside world, heavily vetted.
Avril Forbes has spent ten years in one of these projects. Now, she needs to escape. She needs to follow her lover, and his younger brother to London. For their voices to be heard. Unfortunately, there is a chance they won't make it.
Pandemic, recession, war. That’s how it goes. On repeat, no matter how many years have passed. There was only so much our country could take, before the Government built the Towers Projects. Nice contained communities. Designed, to keep us free from disease and conflict. Or so they told us.
