    Description

The Miller's Dance is the ninth in Winston Graham's sweeping series of Cornwall, Poldark.

Cornwall, 1812. At Nampara, the Poldark family finds the New Year brings involvement in more than one unexpected venture. For Ross and Demelza, there is some surprising - and worrying - news. And Clowance, newly returned from her London triumphs, finds that her entanglement with Stephen Carrington brings not only happiness but heartache.

As the armies battle in Spain and the political situation at home becomes daily more obscure, the Poldark and Warleggan families find themselves thrust into a turbulent new era as complex and changing as the patterns of The Miller's Dance....

    Sooo Satisfying

I love getting lost in the far away world of author read by the reader.

    Better than the last

I wasn't sure last novel if I was going to like hearing about the children as much. I rather missed hearing more from Ross, Demelza, and the like in the previous book. This book, I enjoyed more than the last. Sad it was over. I am going to need to acquire the next one in the series.

    great story developments

This book continues the saga of Ross Poldark's children as they approach adulthood. It has a wonderfully woven story of coming of age and finding oneself, and that of romance and unrequited love.

1812 Cornwall and the Poldark family

Winston Graham and the narrator sure bring 1812 Cornwall to life.

Through the saga of the Poldark family and the backdrop of Cornwall and England in 1812 the series continue. Throw in Napoleon,, Wellington, Russia, France, Spain, steam engines, and mining and you have the makings of a good story. By now you are caught up in the Poldark family as the children are becoming adults and beginning to lead their own lives.

There are only a few stories left in the series and since the author died in 2003 you know the series will soon be over and it makes me a bit sad.

    Awesome Book series

Loved it! Great narration. Entertaining. Whole series is good. Wish the Masterpiece TV Version followed the books more closely. However, TV version has done done a good job with characterizations.

Poldark is the best series ever!

I am a bit disappointed in myself did reading ahead of the Masterpiece series but it is just too long in between each season! It could go on for many years! I keep that the villains will get their due but Graham doesn't take the happily ever after approach. I wish there were 20 more books in the series. I shall be heartbroken when the last book ends.

    Sweet addiction

Loved. Don’t like that Steven Carrington guy. I wish Demelza or Ross would give Clowance some of the 411 on him:-)

This book in the series is tremendously enjoyable & outstanding!

As with the other books in the series, this book is a wonderful part of the story and this audio production is as excellent as the others. I’m sure anyone who reads Winston Graham will be thrilled when they listen to it!
