    crappy

I really enjoyed the first two books. but this one I struggled. some much time was wasted on explaining his new companions stats for no reason....two of them we never saw again, then the ending was rushed. feels like there should be a 4th book to tie up open plots. but it's only a trilogy .

Not as good as the first two books in the series.

It seems as if the author was in too much of a hurry. The ending especially was rushed.

Mediocre. Worth it to finish the story...but

Well I was disappointed there was not much character development in this one. I did feel the desire to at least stick with the story to finish it, but I didn’t like it nearly as much as the first.

    Just not good

it was difficult to finish, in fact there were multiple times I just fast forwarded to the end of the chapter because they were rambling on about something not important. If they started on chapter 11 or 12, which ever one, where he enters the city I would have rated this higher.

I really enjoyed their first two books, but this was painful. It's like the first half of the book, they are trying to fill up pages because the book won't be long enough and by the time they get to the meat of the story they have to shorten it because it's about to be too long.

I also believe that the narrator's straight forward, fast paced style didn't help in some of those painful areas. Was I scratching my head for 20 minutes because the writers were going back and forth, seemingly contradicting themselves, or did the narrator blow through comas and pauses? I probably spent a third of the book going, huh?

I did jump from the beginning of chapter 7 to chapter 11 or 12- can't remember, but it's where he finally gets to the city- because I couldn't take the ramblings any more.

I'm not sure he ever made it to the mage guild to collect all of his bonuses from achievements...

    Rushed Stupid ending...

Over all good story but the ending ruined it.

I was one chapter from the end and I thought "Well this will be a 4 part series" and then the hero were in the final room with with full knowledge of the bad guys plan plan and ultimate weapons they could not defeat and the battle was over.

The hero redaction when his got what he wanted was stupid and the first thing he wanted to do was very creepy with little to no explanation or any background from the story to explain why

Only read if you must finish the story

There was a shocking lack of detail in this book compared to the others. Not in the stats piece, which should really be less repetitive, but in the world building, character building, story, and the ending. This book should have been 2 books so the author could take the time to fully d
flesh everything out. As it is, we didn't even get a good epilogue, which is sorely needed.

    Great story bad performance

Great story line, loved it but Kevin T. Collins must produce an extensive of saliva because he always made this slurping noise that grossed me out.

    Great read though!

    Not sure how I feel

So this was by far the worse part of the series. The ending is actually pretty good but the rest of the book is laborious to get through. First half-75% of the book is so slow and almost nothing really happens. They introduced a character that plays no part in the story as of yet. The author has become very wordy. Saying 50 words where 5 is good. He made such a big deal about the trip in the beginning of the book and then skip to the end. Might as well have let the mean character teleport to the end. The trip seems to be a plot line to bring in the new character that doesn’t really do anything.

The IRL parts of the book are jarring and for the most part really not needed.

The last 25% of the book feels very rushed especially when considered with the rest of the book and how slow it was. Unfortunately that is also when the good stuff happens like a dungeon crawl that is passed over with a few pages of we fought this and did that so we got our level where we needed.

Unfortunately it was a bad book to end a good series on.

    good story lots of stats.

good story, but lots of stats at the same time. sounds like a scratched CD. wish there would be a 4th book to see how everyone develops after skynet.
