Does not age well
I recall loving this book when I read it in the late 90s. Revisited now, looking at a world less-enlightened than the one that existed when this book was written, the insights feel hollow.
The fictional setting diminishes the message - Don Miguel Ruiz and others have written similar books on spiritual awakening that ring true without the need to create a fictional world.
Lou Diamond Phillips narration was relatively strong, though this is the first book I’ve ever encountered that chose to add sound effects and music to moments of ‘action.’ This was distracting and wholly unnecessary.

Every person Alive would benefit

Back to center! A perfect re- read during covid19
I actually read this as a book on tape back in the '90s and was reminded of it in a little synchronicity a few weeks ago. I found the characters a bit difficult to follow but the narration was very good. the message still resonates and it's a book to reread every 10 years or so to reflect on our times.

Great performance and the message behind the story
Great performance, really brings you into the story. Also great messages to deliver behind all the stories. It’s a great fiction if you want to enjoy stories and dramas. But if you want just get the spiritual message behind it, the stories will seem too much

Truly a fantasic read!
Throughout the book it explains the basic knowledge and understanding of how to get through every day life in my opinion. How to reach your own greater cause. I always had one headphone in for a day just listening. I was told about this book from a older friend of mine that is teaching me about happiness and enjoying life the way it should be lived. I see myself as John going through this enlightment journey to find the higher point of being on this earth. I recommend this to everyone that comes across this book whether someone told you about it or you just scrolled passed it. Please enjoy this and think about the deeper message. Truly made me happy. Dont forget to get this copy and listen to Mr. James explain how he starting writing this book.

Eye opening

This Book Should Be Declared A Sacred Text!
Being a deep student of the esoteric for quite some time now, I actually stumbled (by no accident) upon The Celestine Prophecy in movie form very early on in my journey. It definitely struck a chord with me in that format then, but listening to the unabridged audiobook now is more than a listen - if taken as non-fiction and gleaned for it's Divine Wisdom - it will truly change the way you perceive the whole of existence.
If the ardent seeker listens very carefully to the insights - study, memorize and LIVE them, you will most certainly find the unnamed, non-denominational, Eternal something that you have always been seeking.

Simply mind-blowing!!! MUST READ
I'm so excited about the film they're currently working on. You will experience an exciting adventure with the main character on his quest as you gain the ability to see yourself in his shoes. This book is truly a prized possession that every sensible human being can easily relate to. It will bring you into a new state of enlightenment on your path of life. Everything about this book is nothing less than amazing, down to the title. I highly recommend it.

Life changing book that is TIMELESS!
I loved it. I read it and listened to it many years ago. I also was part of a Yahoo group that studied and practiced the insights together! it was an amazing community of people! listening to this book again was just what I needed as we enter the next decade! it was well done and held my focus from beginning to end! great extras too!

Eye-opening book!
This book is both mind and eye opening. It gives specific insights about the law of attraction, but in a way that it is easy to grasp because it is part of an overall story. Everybody searching for more should read this book!
