Nobody banishes a prince for releasing doves at an official dinner. Nobody… except his father, The Emperor. That's how Luca's journey begins: without a crown, without a horse, and with a reputation that arrives before he does at every town in the kingdom.
What was meant to be a punishment becomes something far more complicated… and far stranger. Along the way he encounters magicians of dubious usefulness, priestesses with very firm opinions about his destiny, a Devil with a tomato-red face who turned out to be far less terrifying than advertised, and Death herself — who didn't come for him but for his horse, which didn't make him feel any better. And entire days hanging upside down from a tree like a wet rag in the sun.
But between one disaster and the next, Luca also found love. And something he never expected to find at the end of all that chaos: that after traveling the entire world, his family was still the greatest gift of his life.
The Cards of Luca is a novel of adventure and humor that hides, beneath every absurdity, a deeply human story about love, belonging, and the things you don't know you have until you lose sight of them.
