In the first five stories, Sir Locke the Gnome thwarts an extortionist, solves an untimely death, finds a stolen crown, catches a murderer, and saves himself from being wrongfully imprisoned. All of this leads to the most difficult case in which he is the target of unknown forces trying to destroy his peaceful world.
If you like Holmesian mysteries or Sword & Sorcery fantasies, you'll enjoy these stories. If you are one of the truly enlightened and enjoy both, you will love this book. Feifar's excellent reading brings the many characters, and the entire land of Aethrofell, to vivid life.
