    Description

In a world of titans, where martial artists reign supreme, Roy is wholly unremarkable. Without the power to channel the essence of the world, he is weak and defenseless.

Adopted into the Shah clan after his parents' deaths, he is forced to do menial labor day after day, all while enduring the ridicule and physical abuse of his supposed family.

Weakness is punishable by death in Buryoku and in the Shah clan, there is no one weaker than Roy. But even the weak can rise up, when pushed to the brink....

    Slow but good.

I am not against the author's choice of bringing such unjust onto the MC. This sets up several aspects of the story, from the MC's motivations, to the abhorrent antagonist, to the general theme of the world.

My main concern is that we are lied to about the length of the book. It isn't huge and most people wouldn't mind it but the book ends about an hour early. It then goes into an epilogue, which foreshadows the next book but isn't all entirely necessary. The next 24 minutes are a preview of Supermage. After that, there is another preview of the book Sommerset. This is advertising for the author and I suppose it is a decent marketing option. I simply think its a bit treacherous as I was looking forward to more of MY book and not some other book that they want to sucker me into buying.

My other concern is that it took nearly the whole book for him to advance. It looks like at the pace it is going, it will take around 3 or 4 more books to complete the MC's goal. This is a biggey for me. On another minor note is the wording/reading in some places seems childish, typical in nature. Aika for example grates on my nerves as a typical happy-go-lucky character, maybe because her voice, I don't know.

Overall, it was an enjoyable book with a few minor concerns. 4/5

I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. i really didnt i just thought he was going to died and someone else was going to come after him and take up where he left off. fighting was okay i enjoyed the fight in the city and that was about it. everything else was crap.

    Fantastic Cultivation Adventure!!!

    Great story and narration!

Roy is a cripple without the ability to cultivate living in a world that only respects power. While struggling just to get by in a small village where everyone torments him, he snatches a chance from the jaws of defeat. Embarking on a journey with an unlikely ally and a powerful beast, he must advance quickly or be torn apart by his new power. Will he find a place to belong, friends, and advance fast enough?

    I loved this one!

I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out!

    great book

great book, well preformed, and exactly what I'm looking for in these types of books. Unfortunately there is an add at the end for a different shittier book.

Just call it another dungeon book.

Started with a Will Wight cradle feel (was excited for that) then it moved onto the dungeon nonsense, with basically only two characters (which is basically one) for hours. I hate dungeon core and Litrpg books, they’re always the same books, same concepts and same storyline.

it’s ok just not really great

author has like a thing for suffering like to the point that you want to say why would you write something like that ... people are bullies sure but trying to kill someone after 3 months of there wages are owed to you is kind of unrealistic.... it’s just doesn’t make sense just like alot of reactions throughout the book

    Hmmm

This book has a lot of promise, I’m intrigued by the levels of cultivation as well and anything to do with the dungeon core. That said though I’m not similarly invested in the MC. I get that after being abused and mistreated all his life, it’s understandable that he has a chip on his shoulder the size of the north pole, i get it. That doesn’t make his constant whining and mulish attitude any more fun to listen to. He was slowly getting on my nerves, but him hoping with a new advancement comes a new attitude and less self pity.
I will be getting book 2 and looking forward to an improvement.

Performance can't recover a mundane story

The character in this story isn't a Mary Sue, but they are while reliant on luck. It seems that nothing in this world is achieved by hard work, everything is just dependant on luck.
