Pointless
[SPOILER WARNING]The series should've ended at 7. This one feels just pointless. The first series was good and should've been left alone. Some things don't make sense logically and with the previous books(such as where the new glows are from and why they glow red). Also it appears Jack is getting butchered as he's now part of the bad guys. Jack is smart and FIERCELY loyal. He wouldn't do this. Whatever happened to semper fi? No action occurs whatsoever aside from Cassie freezing a group of people and Michael kicking a guys butt at the start of the book. I like these characters and I like the series but this just isn't good. The series should've just ended with book seven. Lovers of the series would remember it fondly. Haters would forget about it. Not every series or universe needs a sequel series or continuation. Some just need to run their course and then end. Michael Vey should've been one of these.

A lot of nothing
First quarter is a pointless rehash. Then some repeated themes from the first books. The rats got wings. Some right wing politics are dumped on you with the heaviest of hands. Ohhhh, and it is maybe 1/3 of an actual story. Honestly, this is even more disappointing than Ready Player Two, or Star Wars Episode 1.

I loved 1-7 but it should have stopped at 7
I was so bored nothing of note really happens. Theres absolutely no action in the entire book it's a lot of rehashing and nonsense.

Worried And now pissed.
i was worried that continuing a story that ended could kill the whole series of the Electro Clan. Now im PISSED that i got to wait for the next book.. im so happy the way the book ended. the author didnt let me down.

This was Good!
It was a little bit slow to start with, but after all of the reviewing, and the story started, it, cut my attention, and was easy to listen to, and kept me interested until the end. I hate cliffhangers, but that was a pretty good one.

Not as good as previous ones.
Was excited about this book but it was a little out there with some characters. Didn't love it like we did the previous ones in the series.

Rabid Reader
An amazing new volume in the Vey series, it is a cliff hanger, but I am glad there is more to come. Intriguing bad guys make you think is it better to have good things forced on society, or to let people have the right to choose. What would happen if the drug trade could be controlled by one source? Very thought provoking!

Only half the story
I love Richard Paul Evens but this is only half the book. I hate when authors do this just to-get us to buy the second or third books.. if your going to do this than give us a long Sanderson book so we can justify it.
