The media has something to say about us being together, the people I'm surrounded by the same, but nothing's changed for me. She makes this whole thing worthwhile and always will.
She sees me like the world doesn't see, and I notice her in exactly the same ways. This new environment will try to change her, make her lose faith in me, us, and even herself, but I'll make sure she sees the truth.
And hold on to that for us both if I have to.

Good story, wrong female narrator.
I really wish these publishers could find black women to read for characters that are black. This woman sounds like Ilyana Kadushin (Twilight narrator) and I was halfway through the first book before I could enjoy it. I almost returned it right away except for the reviews.

AMAZING!!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
How good is this book? Let me put it this way, this audio book was 11 hours and I listened it ALL in one sitting!! Never pausing, never stopping. It was such an INCREDIBLE love story. Roxie and Griffin are a fantastic couple and I rooted for them till the very end! Their love for each other is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I cried in this book. I felt their pain, I felt their love, so good was the writing. I will definitely be reading more books from this author.
I was definitely heart broken when I realized that the book was finished, I wanted it to go on forever. Lol. This book is deserves a new word which holds greater meaning than SPECTACULAR. Definitely listening again.

Sweet and Endearing
Very sweet characters with real emotional issues you can relate to and it is a HEA that says you still have to work it at it for it to be HEA

Have to read both books
To get the full understanding of both characters and their growth book one must be read first. Have to say that as the main characters matured so did the writing in some areas. In the first book the narration was not believable for some characters. However, the love story is strong and a good one. I was happy and satisfied with their happily ever after and that I read both books. Recommended reading.

Love this!
This is a great romance, yet I was not thrilled with the female narrator. Roxie was preceeded to be a black woman, yet the narrator will have you questioning this. Not to confuse the listener, unless she was biracial.

ok
I really liked this book and would have given it 5 stars if not for the use of God's name in vain. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. It dealt with depression and body image and that was good. I can't wait to read more about his brothers and hopefully his father. BBW/BWWM romance.
