À propos de ce contenu audio
Rival physicists collide in a vortex of academic feuds and fake dating shenanigans in this delightfully STEMinist romcom.
The many lives of theoretical physicist Elsie Hannaway have finally caught up with her. By day, she's an adjunct professor, toiling away at grading labs and teaching thermodynamics in the hopes of landing tenure. By other day, Elsie makes up for her non-existent paycheck by offering her services as a fake girlfriend, tapping into her expertly honed people-pleasing skills to embody whichever version of herself the client needs.
Honestly, it's a pretty sweet gig - until her carefully constructed Elsie-verse comes crashing down. Because Jack Smith, the annoyingly attractive and arrogant older brother of her favourite client, turns out to be the cold-hearted experimental physicist who ruined her mentor's career and undermined the reputation of theorists everywhere. And he's the same Jack Smith who rules over the physics department at MIT, standing right between Elsie and her dream job.
Elsie is prepared for an all-out war of scholarly sabotage but... those long, penetrating looks? Not having to be anything other than her true self when she's with him? Will falling into an experimentalist's orbit finally tempt her to put her most guarded theories on love into practice?

Hopelessly, brilliantly, wonderfully romantic. I loved it even more than The Love Hypothesis, and I didn't think that was possible (Cressida McLaughlin on Love on the Brain)

2nd) i enjoyed the story of Jack and Elsy, mirrored with honesty and the fact that many can see themselves in situation when they hide their feeling to please the others. (i also love Twilight movies but am not telling the others, like Elsy)
3rd) i was happy to listen with headphones because if there is people around, be careful with some very hot chapters
4th) i loved the way the story delivers how to handle sexist situation at work, and i think men would learn many tips from the book.
5) I love the end!
A story that helps to think about what we truly want

The Twilight ref are hilarious and I can safely say I’ve been there & Will defend that series (books & movies) till I die! (I did have a pretty successful blog about twilight back in the day 🙃) -
I love how this book is at the same time quirky and smart and fun and sexy. The banter is perfectly executed, Elsie’s brain is how I feel all the time (minus the physics coz I would be CC in that duo, well actually fuse them both together and that sounds about right!) and Jack is well…the hottest physicist I’ve ever heard of 🥹🫠
This book will definitely stand tall on my best reads of the year shelves 💜 Yes it’s That good! Ok I have to go now! Later bookish nerds 🩵🫡
