Description
Number-one New York Times best seller!
Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera reunite to continue the story of Arthur and Ben, the boys listeners first fell for in the New York Times best-selling rom-com What If It’s Us.
Ben survived freshman year of college, but he’s feeling more stuck than ever. His classes are a slog, his part-time job working with his father is even worse, and his best friend Dylan’s been acting weird for weeks. Ben’s only real bright spot is his writing partner Mario, who’s been giving him a lot of Spanish lessons and even more kisses. Mario’s big Hollywood dreams make Ben start to dream bigger - and the choices he makes now could be the key to reshaping his future. So why can’t he stop thinking about a certain boy from his past?
Arthur is back in New York City for the first time in two years, ready to take the theater world by a storm as the world’s best...intern to the assistant of an off-off-Broadway director. Of course, it sucks to be spending the summer apart from his sweet, reliable boyfriend, Mikey, but he knows their relationship is strong enough to weather the distance. Which is why it’s no big deal when his ex-boyfriend Ben stumbles back into the picture. And it’s definitely fine that Ben’s blissfully happy with some mystery boy. First loves are special, but it’s way too late for what-ifs. Right?
Even as the boys try to shake off the past, they keep running into each other in the present. Is this the universe trying to tell them there’s a do-over in their future?
Here's to Us is sure to be welcomed by fans old and new of these authors and their previous collaboration, What If It's Us. Critically acclaimed and best-selling authors Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera combine their talents in these smart, funny, heartfelt novels about two very different boys who can’t decide if the universe is pushing them together - or pulling them apart.

It //DOES// Live Up To The First Book…
Don’t be discouraged… this story is the comfort hug we’ve needed after three years of hell.
Just as the readers have grown up…. so have these characters and how they tell their story.
Arthur/Noah + Ben/Froy Performance?
*Chefs Kiss*
No story / sequel is ever perfect. We all imagine differently for our favorite characters… but this ‘do-over’? Pretty. Damn. Close. To. Perfect.
Just like our two boys.
Love vicariously through the book for a few hours.
Treat yourself.
Spend the credit.

Loved this duology
I breezed through this book! I was late for What if it’s us. But I woke up 3AM EST to start this one once it dropped on audible! It put me through a roller coaster but I’m so glad I listened/read these two books! Great collaboration from Becky and Adam! I just finished a few minutes ago and will be re listening tonight!

Got the Perfect Ending
I loved the first book so much, and this book didn’t disappoint either. However, I do feel extremely bad for Mikey and hated that I found myself disliking Arthur at times. I just felt like Mikey was treated so poorly and wouldn’t have gotten Arthur’s actions from the first book. I guess no character is perfect, but the ending made my heart so full of joy. Great writing from both authors!

This is one hell of a roller coaster of feelings and my god it’s breathtaking
I cried over the first book and I cried even harder over the second one (this book). This book makes believe in love at first sight and as silly as it sounds, it also makes me believe in infinite do-overs. I will be jerking my heart in-n-out until the day I get to share this book with my own box boy or hot dog tie boy *is crying as writing this* but until then I will keep reminding myself that the universe is on my side and I just have to see it through.

Unpopular opinion: Silvera is Declining?
Adam Silvera’s first three books were incredible! They were creative, heartbreaking, and the characters felt real, even in sci-fi settings. I fell in love with Aaron, Rufus, Mateo, griffin, and Theo.
Fast forward to What About Us (the predecessor to this book), a cute love story, but definitely lacking in story and the characters weren’t as compelling. Ben was great (I know that that is the character he wrote, so I’m not knocking him too badly), but charterers like Dylan and Arthur were ridiculous. I wanted to like Arthur, but even when he came off as charming, it quickly turned to eye roll territory (again, I know albertalli wrote Arthur). Dylan is so hit or miss, but more miss than hit. And it’s constant from him, he never stops his nonsense. (Silvera then went on to write two books in a fantasy series, books that are sloppy, and feel like he’s jumping from poorly written action sequence to poorly written action sequence.)
This book, Here’s To Us, another cute love story, continues a lot of the major flaws in the first book. Plus, the eyerolling was intensified for me. Arthur may have matured a bit, but Dylan is still over the top, always. The book is heavy on common tropes like love triangles and big romantic gestures. Arthur’s new boyfriend Mikey is annoyingly under developed. Silvera introduces Ben’s new love interest, Mario, who is a great character; definitely one of the best characters of the series. However, he is only ever background noise to the Ben/Arthur stuff, which was a major disappointment. I won’t spoil the end, but I wasn’t a fan of any of it.
If you like love triangles, over the top characters, and grand gestures on top of grand gestures, you’ll like this book. Overall, I did enjoy the story, but it felt so lacking.

On another Level - Good
Great story check, phenomenal performances check, continued helpless romantic forever. This follow up dare I say is better than the first one? Yes I believe so. Glad that the characters got a fulfilling do over. Thrilled that we got a sequel.

The reality of relationships
Loved this read and how it portrays gay couples as normal individuals. Normal individuals who have normal issues in relationships and life. I will enjoy listening to this read again and again.

Boring
I was so excited when this book came out. I loved "What if it's us". This was a repeat but with no plot development, no character development; just plain boring.
