Henry had found himself at the end of his rope. An ex-wife, a dead end job and the best years of his life, seemingly behind him. Hope for a normal life had been lost years ago. When a cry for help from a stranger pulls him from the brink, Henry finds himself in an ever-changing world that is more suited toward his particular skill set. Having been alone for so long, it becomes increasingly difficult to get along with his fellow survivors. The infection is not the only threat he faces; it is just one concern of many in the struggle to live and finding his place in the new world.
As others turn to him for leadership, he bears the heavy burden of having to worry about more than just his life. The group discovers they are not the only ones fighting over the scraps of humanity. His second chance at life is threatened at every turn, feeling as if it is slipping from his grasp. He will fight for what he feels is right, no matter the cost.
