Sam has cheated death, but the world he returns to is mutated, and the holograms and robots are programmed to watch his every move. He is hounded by his past ghosts and surrounded by suspicious people bent on keeping him imprisoned.
The New Terra Council exiles Sam for discovering their dirty secret, and he faces death once more at the hand of animated plants and mutated animals. Will he survive this world and understand what has indeed happened to Earth? Each reanimate reminds Sam that this new world resembles the fairy world he knew back on old Earth, but will these mythical creatures aid him, or destroy what is left of humanity with their lust for revenge?
