Description
Brought to you by Penguin.
Written by number one New York Times best-selling author Marieke Nijkamp, Critical Role: Vox Machina - Kith & Kin follows a brand-new story, featuring the cunning ranger Vex'ahlia and the conning rogue Vax'ildan (and, of course, Trinket) years before they meet Vox Machina.
After leaving the unwelcoming refuge of Syngorn, the twins become entangled in a web spun by the Clasp, and for the first time Vex and Vax find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict that threatens the home they have carried with each other for years.

Storyline: Cliche & Boring. Performance: Supurb
Wow I wanted to like this book and, when it started I did. The performance is fantastic. Robbie is an amazing narrator and it is great to hear Laura and Liam do Vex and Vax. I love these guys.
But honestly it doesn't save the slow moving, cliched and frustrating predictable plot.
Buy it if you are a fan I guess.
But I have read better fan fiction for free.

Not just for fans of Critical Role
A wonderful story about two wandering siblings, a heist gone wrong and a town at war; about betrayal and loyalty and most of all, about the importance of home and family. A great fantasy adventure not just for fans of the Critical Role Canon. You do not need any prior knowledge to understand this story. If you are already a fan of Vox Machina, however, this book holds many precious moments we have long waited to see; and just speaking for myself, this gave me a new appreciation and understanding of the twins and deepened my love for them. I hope they do novels on all of Vox Machina, or at least one on Grog and Pike.

A sweet story but the author needs more practice
The story is nice, the storyline pretty good the facts about the twins a little cliché but none the less entertaining.
Robbie reads with so much skill that he undoes a lot of the shortcomings the book has. Laura and Liam play their characters on point and brilliant.
Though the dialogues at times seem forced and unnatural.
The story feels a little unrefined but all in all worth my time. I read far worse in the past.

Perfect Addition
I know all of campaign 1-3 of critical role and this book would still be amazing if I didn't.

Great Story!
A true "Vox Machina" Prequel.
The backstory of Vex and Vax.
Robby Daymond did a fantastisch Job as narrator, especially the parts when he modified his voice to speak as the little girl.
To hear Laura Baily and Liam O'Brien returning to their roles as Vesalia and Vax'ildan was simply satisfying.

Wonderful
Lives up to my expectations, which is hard. Robbie Daymond is a great narrator, too. Fun, bittersweet and true to character.
