Shawn Crowley was just a teenage boy when he and his Pa went to buy cattle. What was supposed to be a routine trip becomes a life changing experience. They return home to find their family slaughtered.
In the midst of their mourning the recently deceased rose as vampires. After a confusing and heartwrenching fight they defeat the vampires. But Shawn's father is mortally wounded. Shawn swears to his dying father he will avenge him. that night he sets out on the trail of the ones who destroyed his family. But he quickly learns he is way over his head. He learns that all these things from the old tales are real.
Now Shawn must choose between two paths. Becoming a farmer and forgetting what he's learned. Or taking up arms and hunting down the creature that ripped his family apart. And sending it back to hell.
