À propos de ce contenu audio

A woman who's lost everything.

Taylor is looking for peace and quiet away from the memories of all she's lost. A small mountain town where no one knows her seems like the perfect escape.

A man battling the ghosts of his past.

Walker loves his life just the way it is. His town, his family, his brothers in blue. Everything simple and easy - until a chance encounter changes it all.

When Taylor's solitude is interrupted by the rugged cop, they find that the very thing they were avoiding might be just what they both need. As their iron wills clash and passion flares...a killer lurks.

And you never know who might be caught in the crosshairs.

Taylor just lost her mom, and her friends worried about her, so they bring her with them in Sutter Lake, a small town in Oregon for some vacation days. She wants to start all over, so she decide to settle down in this small town even though her friends tried to talk her out of it.

Walker is the deputy chief of the town. He’s protective, mostly when it comes to the people he cares the most. He’s trying to build a love life, but with his past it’s not that easy, but when he'll meet Taylor it will be different.

This book was very powerfull, I cried, and my heart broke at some point for the characters. It was really good. It made me feel things I felt seven years ago when I lost a close friend, so I do understand Taylor. Grieving is such a long road and sometimes it’s really hard to move on. I love how Taylor wants to grow up and move on with her life to get past the grieveing even if it’s really hard. Her character evolve slowly but just like in reel life…

I love small town and strong bond in family, and with the Cole family you’ll not be disappointated, add to that a strong bond with friends. I also loved Irma, Walker’s grandma, she’s so funny, she loves to play matchmaking, she made me think of Dori or Ethel (two characters from @authorpiperrayne books). Above that I've love what Taylor and Walker shared the banter, the sexual tension, but also the friendship with all the characters. What can I also say ? Well I wasn't prepared for all the suspens the author add.

This book reunitated what I look to read or listen in books. All those emotions I felt made this book one of my favorite.

Thanks @aaronshedlock & @narratormaxine for made these characters to be alive and bring me all those emotions you two are incredible together and thanks to @catherinecowlesauthor for this story.
