General John J. Pershing is among the many historical figures he meets in Mexico, a list that includes the already flamboyant George S. Patton and, of course, the charismatic Pancho Villa. Based on extensive research, this book colorfully brings to life a tumultuous time that shaped today's often troubled relationship between Mexico and the United States.
