The first section, titled "The Heartbreak of a Breakup," comprises most of the book and describes the emotional turmoil following a breakup, which may also resonate with the experience of losing a spouse. The second section, "The Loss of a Loved One," is shorter and consists of individual poems focusing on the death of a loved one.

There are no quick-fix cures for losing someone you love.
