    Good story, disliked the performance

Parts that are whispered mixed with loud ones - had to keep adjusting volume. It is inconvenient to do it constantly, as I listen to books on my commute.

The story itself is a nice change from the usual fantasy - as it is set in middle-eastern inspired universe. Can't wait for part 3.

    So good!!

I absolutely loved this sequel! OMG!
The narrators from the first book were a lot better though, because the woman who narrated Helena's parts didn't do a great job in this one
It was difficult do distinguish the dialogue from the rest of the text. She didn't change her voice very much and ended up reading a piece of dialogue in her regular voice even though the added action beat was "he growled". But in the end the story was simply too gripping and I still give it 5/5 stars.
Why did they push back the release of the third book???? Need it!!! NOW!!!!
(Also they seem to have used really good microphones because sometimes you can hear the narrators swollow and at one point I think I even heard a stomach grumble LOL But in my humble opinion it added to the listening experience!)
