    The story is heartbreaking, yes. But you cannot stop this beautiful narration. You need to know more about the characters.
    Khaled Hosseini did it again !! His best book IMO.
    The narrator's voice is perfect for this book, great job.
    I cried, smiled all along. Such a powerful book.

    I have read and now listened to the book several times. Each time I read it I see more depth to the characters. The story is so wonderfully told, from Miriam and Laila's view. I loved how these characters lives become entwined. Such a beautiful tale. I still well up towards the end. A heartfelt tale amidst war torn cities. I have recommend is book to all my friends and there isn't one that has not loved it. Even the hardcore thriller, horror, romance reader loved this book.
